Are staff trained to deal with people that have behaviour that are challenging ?

Staff are trained and do not work with a person until they have completed all their training including challenging behaviour training.

How flexible can the carers visits be?

When we do an assessment before commencement of service. We will take down your preference to understand whether you will need the carer to visit at set weekly times, or if you can amend the times of the carer’s visits to suit your schedule.

How will I know that my loved one is enjoying your service?

We will communicate with you and involve you in 3 monthly meeting with all care professionals. You can be a part of the care planning and manager is available any time if you have any questions.

I need to organise respite, can you help?

We will contact social worker and try our best to arrange that for you.

What happened if my loved one doesn’t like your staff?

We try our best to suit the staff around the person needs and compatibility. 

What happens if I am not happy with the service?

We have every faith that you will be happy with the service, however rest assured we have a complaint procedure in place where if you are not satisfied, we will listen to you and find a solution to suit every one.

Will my loved one have dedicated staff and same staff visiting?

Continuity of care is the biggest indicator of customer satisfaction. A dedicated carer (or small team of carers) minimises the number of new people entering your loved one’s house. If the person needing care is easily confused or struggles with new people, a small dedicated team can have a huge impact.

Does the agency have policies and procedures in place?

We are regulated by Care Inspectorate Wales and they inspect the agency every year, followed by a report which is placed on their website for the public to read.

How can I trust your staff with my loved ones money?

Staff have to follow policies and procedures for the safeguarding of money. They will have to write down any dealing with money and account for every part of money they handle.

What makes an excellent member of staff at your company?

Care Workers should be conscientious and dependable, arriving punctually and carrying out their tasks to the best of their ability. A Care Worker needs to be able to react calmly and responsively, whatever the situation. Great Care Workers need to be determined to make a positive difference to someone's life.
