We are able to work with people who have disabilities, autistic Spectrum disorders, have emotional or behavioural issues, or have complex needs. We are not able to provide nursing services. Services are undertaken by our team of highly trained and experienced specialist staff.
The Sunshine Management team has 20 years service with complex needs and furthermore, Diploma in Leadership & Management and a degree in Social science. We have a proven track record that being consistent in our approach, recognising positive behaviour and being aware of the persons temperament/triggers and needs is the difference in being successful or not.
We provide care services to both private and public sectors.
Your needs for care and support are identified through an assessment: this may involve a Care Manager from Local Authority. We operate within the County of Carmarthenshire.

How the service is provided:
Person centred care forms the core of the service we provide, and our staff are committed to meeting the needs of the person using the service.
Our commitment is to deliver a service of the highest standard that will continue to improve and sustain the persons overall quality of life. We ensure the service is delivered flexibly, attentively and non-discriminatory way, while respecting the person’s right to independence, privacy, dignity and the right to make choices. We give people a voice, to be heard, to be listened too. We listen to what the person needs, and values are coincide with race, religion, culture, ethnic origin and sexuality.
In order to have a successful support worker, through experience, we have evidence that the right support worker will bring out the best in the person’s life. We match the nominated worker as closely as possible and respecting the need change to the care in an event of subsequent non-compatible. We involve the person, support worker and families in the provision management and development of services, which will be monitored regularly as part as the quality assurance framework, ensuring that the service is run in the best interest of our service users. We will safeguard service users from any kind of abuse with robust procedures and monitoring.

We will educate and promote that our service users are aware of the procedures and making complaints and compliments to the best of their ability. We have trained staff who meet service users, prior to commencing service, to agree the care need requirements of service users and assess each individual before service is offered including aspects, such as when the service will begin and the times, frequency and duration of care to be provided. You Are My Sunshine employs people that will be trained in accordance to Social Care Wales induction framework – if they are not trained we offer a qualification within 6 months of employment. We provide a bespoke training package, tailored to meet the specific needs of the person we are supporting, furthermore staff are supervised and supported to provide a quality service to a wide range of people who need care and support, whilst living in their own home.
You are my sunshine services must provide individuals with the assurance that before a service offers care and support they have considered a wide range of information to confirm the service is able to meet the individuals need and support them to achieve their personal outcomes, this includes the individuals wishes and preference and consultation with relevant persons and professionals. You are my sunshine services must ensure there is relevant information and support people to understand the choices available to them (including provision from alternative service providers, where appropriate), in format accessible to the person and suitable to their age and level of understanding. The service must not provide care and support for an individual unless the service provider has determined that the service is suitable to meet the individuals care and support needs and to support the individual to achieve their personal outcomes.
